Apparitions have placed Fatima, located in the center of Portugal, into one of the world's principal catholic centers of Virgin Mary’s cult.
Especially close to the 13th May, it’s impressive to see the number of peregrines walking for long distances to Fatima, thus bordering roads in a continuous movement bearing up all weather conditions.
There are two largest annual celebrations occurring on the 13th May and the 13th October.
The Candlelight Procession and the “Adeus” (Farewell), closing the celebrations on the 13th May, are the most impressive.
