Sao Martinho do Porto is a sea-village on an unique shell-shaped and calm waters bay, with wonderful white sand beaches and natural dunes, often used by kids and adults to sand ski activity.

It is a lively village with many restaurants and bars near the beach and in the historic town. It is connected by train to Caldas da Rainha, which is a quick and pleasant trip to do with children who like trains.

Caldas da Rainha railway station is just at some minutes drive from Casa do Lago family holidays villa.

Some opinions from TripAdvisor:

Nice place at the Silver Coast. On one side of the bay there are bars, restaurants and shops. On the other side of the bay you can walk through the sandy dunes.

A shallow and calm bay, maybe the safest oceanic beach for children in Portugal. Gastronomy is reach, and lots of history surrounds it at short distance.

We parked at Salir do Porto and walked down the board walk into Sao Martinho. It is a beautiful walk and the views are fantastic. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to eat / drink in and to just while away some time whilst staring at the view. The beach is sandy and safe.
